Peer Education: HIV/ AIDS

The Body of Marcin is an educational story of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection and the process of virally induced immunosuppression as told to the general public. In accordance with the vision of the PEER Education HIV Project (part of SCORA IFMSA) to bring clear and understandable knowledge to the general society.

The purpose is to present HIV/AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) in a manner that is understandable for the common individual. The aim is to elucidate the local society about a difficult topic through the process of interactive learning and story telling. The idea is that after participation in this program, the individual will acquire a basic knowledge of the mechanism of HIV infection, and the eventual progression to AIDS. Armed with this vital knowledge, the individual will better able to understand the importance, and manner, of avoiding HIV infection.
